About Our Team
First and foremost you should know that the three of us wholly embrace a team philosophy. We believe that by working together closely we can provide the best education for your children. Each of us have unique skills, talents and perspectives that we bring to the table and we use these in our planning. We meet several times a week and talk on a daily basis about lessons, differentiating and where to go next with our kiddos. Not only are the three of us colleagues but we share a close friendship as well! We feel that your students really benefit from the cohesiveness of the program that we have created. Our goal is that our kids feel a sense of community not just in their classroom but as a grade level. We take all of our field trips together and have our class parties together. Each of us get to know the kids in the other classroom very well and we feel that this helps the kiddos feel even more safe and supported because they have not one but three teachers that know and care for them!

This is my 11th year teaching Kindergarten! My first year of teaching I was in a Royal Oak half day program and this is my 10th year teaching our youngest learners at Bemis! I love our school, staff and kiddos and there is no place I would rather be! I graduated with both my Bachelors and Masters degree from Michigan State University. Go Green! I also have completed 30 additional credits through Marygrove college. I just celebrated my six wedding anniversary with my husband Kurt, whom I met while at MSU. We have a spunky, hilarious and very active 2 1/2 year old boy named Will. In December we completed our family with a blue eyed, smiley baby girl named Paige. Outside of school I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy reading, taking our dog Lucy for walks, camping and doing anything outdoors!

This is my 12th year of teaching at Bemis! I love teaching Kindergarten and I have a fabulous team that I work with in both Mrs. LaTarte and Mrs. Gadlage! Bemis is a great school to work and learn at! I love working with the Kindergarten kiddos because they come to school so eager to learn each day. Every day I learn something new from them and they surprise me with all of their insight at even such a young age! Personally I have three children-Grant 8, Reese 6 and Maks 2. We reside in Clarkston with my husband Marc and our new puppy Stella. Our family is very busy with the kids activities of baseball, dance, soccer and school activities. I love to read, vacation, spend time with our friends and pretty much do anything outdoors.

This is my 6th year teaching Kindergarten! I have always know that I wanted to be a teacher. I found my true passion for teaching when I began coaching figure skating. Seeing children's excitement when learning something new, confirmed I wanted to be a school teacher. Six years later, I am still so in love with educating young minds! I graduated from Oakland University with a major in Elementary Education and received my Master's degree from Marygrove College. My family consists of three wonderful people. My husband, Matt and I have an adorable and energetic son, Luke and a fun-loving English Bulldog, Minnie. We love spending time together as a family. You will often find us playing outside, watching a hockey game, or hanging in ad watching a good movie. I absolutely love family time and I always look forward to my school family time as well!
